New Years

It's an exciting time in life! I've sold my car, packed my bags, and am wrapping up my college life, ready to begin the adventure ahead of me. It's a funny thing, I have tickets to leave the 6th of January, though I may be waiting until the end of the month to leave.

I'll be honest I've been a bit down lately. I've been asked to be a witness for a trial for an event that happened several years back, and it may delay my trip for a time. Regardless, I'm putting my best foot forward and I am ready to jump with both feet when the airplane door opens. There is a wild spirit that lives within me, and I'm ready to take on the world.

What will my new years resolution be? There's so many things I plan to do... its hard to decide. Here it is: To begin a new lifelong adventure, and let life take me where I belong.

So What is your New Years Resolution?

Inspiration

Over the last month or so I've begun to meet so many incredible people. You just never know what kind of inspirational story or spectacular adventure people have to share. A friend of my mothers, Gale Goodwin, shared with me some of her inspiration, a Global Hug Tour where, "Two people will depart in a small prop plane, to fly 31,000 miles around the world, stopping in 50 locations on a 5-month tour to gather inspiration, deliver 100,000 hugs and share $1,000,000 with important causes..." Gale is also a world  traveler who interviews people of all ages and backgrounds, from coaches to successful businessmen to children and shares this inspiration on her website Inspire Me Today.

Just yesterday, I found out that a colleague of mine in the Wildlife Department was the first person to Backpack across South America. I was shocked that I  had known Gregg this long and hardly known a thing about him. A 7,800 mile trek across the Andes Mountains. Simply put, an Amazing feat most people could only dream of. If you have any moment to spare, you must give this journey a moment of your time, Across the Andes. The photos, videos, and blogs of this two year journey kept me up all night. I was too excited to sleep!

This post may seem to be more about these incredible people that I've me, and it is. It is the people that inspire us to do great things that makes us realize, it is possible. When you take upon yourself an adventure so big, most people think it impossible, you're probably on the right track. That's the journey I seek, an unfamiliar territory, an inspirational story just waiting to happen.

I welcome you to join me on the journey ahead... I'll admit it, I am scared. There is a lot that I simply do not know, and thats OK.You may feel like an audience, but this epic adventure is real, and I'll need you advice and inspiration, good times and bad. I don't know what will happen, but I'm going alone and I look forward to hearing from each of you! Wish me Luck!
